Navi' Robins was born in Chicago, Illinois, into a family as varied and layered as the characters who would later fill his work. At ten years old, his family relocated to Liberia. The seven years he spent in West Africa placed him inside different cultures, languages, traditions, and ways of seeing the world. That experience became the foundation of an imagination that refuses simple boundaries.

After years of working toward his first completed manuscript, Navi' finished Walking Among the Shadows: Awakeningin 2012 and published it in 2013. The novel introduced readers to a storyteller drawn to mystery, consequence, the supernatural, and people forced to discover who they are when everything familiar has been stripped away.

He continued by developing Article 88, an episodic dystopian thriller, and expanding into romance, suspense, urban fiction, speculative fiction, and stories for young readers. Across more than twenty published titles, each new genre has become another language through which he can explore power, identity, survival, love, family, and transformation.

Writing is only one part of the work. As an illustrator and graphic designer, Navi' also shapes how stories are first seen and felt. His newest original universe, Obsidian, brings those disciplines together through sequential art, cinematic world-building, and a mythology rooted in Chicago, loss, consequence, and rebirth.
